Teaching

Robin is a flute, piano, and voice instructor returning to the Houston area in Spring, TX after 15 years of living in the Los Angeles area. She is passionate about teaching students of all ages who have a curiosity or interest for learning music. Please see Lessons for more information about private music instruction.

Performing

Robin has recently relocated to the Houston area in Spring, TX. She has performed as a flutist in the Los Angeles area for the last 15 years as a soloist and various ensembles. Her favorite type of performing is for community members and friends sharing the joy of music. She has performed with the Allegria Duo with guitarist Donovan Raitt, with Donovan Raitt and his ensemble, various solo performances and benefits, and the University Woodwind Quintet at The Bob Cole Conservatory of Music. Robin has performed at Sugar Land Baptist Church as a featured soloist, First Presbyterian Church of Garden Grove, has premiered works at All Saints Catholic Church in Los Angeles, and performed at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Lake Forest, CA. Robin played principal flute in the Symphony Orchestra at The Bob Cole Conservatory and has performed in various other chamber music groups. She has also performed in lobby concerts before Long Beach Symphony Orchestra performances as a soloist and with her chamber music ensembles. Please visit the audio page for recordings. 

Achievements

Robin was alternate to the National Flute Association’s Orchestral Audition Masterclass Competition. She has also performed with the Los Angeles Flute Ensemble Flute Choir for the 2016 National Flute Convention. She has been a finalist at the Kentucky Flute Society Competition and the Marrowstone Music Festival Concerto Competition. She has studied flute under Marianne Gedigian, Karl Kraber, and John Barcellona. She has also performed in masterclasses with artists such as Amy Porter, Jill Felber, Jim Walker, Brad Garner, Jeffery Zook, and Tal Perkes.
